Meet Chef Angela McKellar

Atlanta native and chef, Angela McKeller is fast becoming everyone's
favorite "Kook"! Trained by her Great-Grandmother who survived the Great
Depression, going green has been a part of her mentality since she first
began cooking at the age of three. Angela says, "With the economy,
everyone has been voicing concerns about their top two expenses -
mortgages and meals. Well, I've got meals covered! Saving money is all
about waste not, want not. And when we don't waste, we are saving
valuable resources and keeping our planet well."
Angela teaches students how to reuse their grocery bags for refuse, cut
down on energy expense and the importance of finding multiple uses for
each ingredient - and the containers they come in! Angela has appeared on
The Food Network with Paula Deen and loves to teach others
how to make the kitchen their playground.

April is also Jazz Appreciation Month and many events will feature live entertainment from Atlanta's best jazz artists. CHECK OUT OUR ORGANIC WINE SELECTION TODAY AT BLOOMINGDALE'S!
Too often, wine producers rely on harsh chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides to maintain their vineyards. Thankfully, not all wineries are the same! Our featured wines are 100% hand harvested and made from organically grown grapes. The bottles are made from partially recycled glass; the labels are made from recycled paper, and printed with sustainable inks. They are committed to zero synthetics and the practice of biodiversity, very much conscious of making only a positive environmental impact. Cheers!
